REV'IT! Sand 5 H2O Women's Jacket
The Sand series is REV'IT!s landmark adventure gear collection, embodying a distinctive style and bursting with premium features. The Sand 5 H2O jacket continues that legacy with pride. The latest iteration of the Sand H2O jacket is representative of an evolution rather than a revolution, because why mess with success? Small tweaks and adjustments enhance the Sand 5's overall performance.
Featuring a curated series of liners, the Sand 4 H2O Jacket wears easy and is ready for anything! The foundation of the Sand 5 is its abrasion-resistant polyester ripstop shell, made even breezier with XL zippers on the sleeves and ventilation panels on the back side and chest. Not only is the Sand 5 is well ventilated, it's also waterproof and insulated thanks to detachable hydrtex|3L and thermal liners. Add one or both liners to suit your conditions. Lose the shell and you have a waterproof, insulated jacket system for setting up basecamp; REV'IT! finishes each liner as a freestanding, destination garment.
Enjoy impact protection provided by SEEFLEX CE Level 2 armor at the shoulders and elbows. The Sand 5 jacket is also prepared for an optional SEESOFT back protector so you can make it a full suite of armor.
This fifth generation version of the REV'IT! Sand Jacket adds more ventilation and improvements in the waterproof and thermal liner systems over the previous Sand 4 Jacket (from 2021). With a AA protective certification, the Sand 5 Jacket is ready for ADV riding and on-road touring in all four seasons. Overall, the Sand 5 Jacket (and pants) benefits from a long list of small improvements that result in big wins for rider-friendliness and ease of daily use.

Certification: CE approved to EN17092-3:2020 as a Class AA garment
A CE Level AA rating, governed by the EN 17092-3:2020 standard, signifies that a garment is engineered to offer a high level of abrasion resistant protection suitable for a wide range of riding conditions, including touring and daily commuting. To achieve this classification, the materials in the most vulnerable areas of the garment, known as Zone 1 (typically shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees), undergo rigorous testing.
The key test for abrasion resistance is performed on a specialized machine called the Darmstadt tester. In this test, a sample of the garment's material is subjected to a simulated slide on a concrete surface. For a garment to earn the AA rating, the material in Zone 1 must withstand a rotational speed of approximately 412.6 revolutions per minute (rpm) on the Darmstadt machine. This is designed to replicate a slide at a road speed of approximately 43mph (70 km/h). The material passes the test if it does not develop a hole larger than 5mm in any direction after the abrasion. This exacting standard ensures that the garment offers substantial protection against road rash in the event of a fall at typical road speeds. It is important to note that this abrasion test is just one component of the comprehensive testing required for certification. To earn the final rating, the garment must also pass rigorous standards for tear resistance, seam strength, the impact protection performance of the included armor and additional factors.
