Built for safety, comfort and versatility, the LS2 Centric Helmet features a tough yet lightweight Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) shell and advanced AREM LS2's Advanced Rotational Energy Management technology is a proprietary safety system engineered into the liner of select LS2 helmets. The technology reduces energy transfer to the rider's head in the event of angular impact - significantly reducing the chances of major brain injury. AREM equipped helmets exceed ECE 22.06 rotational safety standards, offering pro-level protection to every rider. technology for rotational impact protection. With three shell sizes and a DOT approved quick release buckle, it offers a secure and tailored fit. The fully adjustable ventilation system channels airflow through the EPS liner Expanded polystyrene (EPS) is a rigid, energy absorbing foam. In the helmet industry, EPS is the most common means of energy management to protect the brain. Generic EPS is often referred to as “Styrofoam” (a trademarked name owned by the Dow Chemical Company). Premium helmet producers utilize multi-density EPS liners to balance comfort, safety and performance. to keep riders cool, while the 3D laser-cut comfort padding is removable and washable. A quick change, tool-less visor system comes with a photochromatic Class A polycarbonate shield. ECE 22.06 ECE 22.06 is a helmet safety rating that extends and increases the testing requirements of ECE 22.05 (with 22.05 being a more modern, more comprehensive European alternative to DOT). With 22.06, 12 additional impact points are analyzed (now totaling 18) and impact speed is increased (from 7.5 to 8.2 m/s). Unlike DOT, every ECE helmet model must actually be tested by an independent lab before it receives 22.06 certification. certified for top tier protection.
