Fox Racing V3 RS Ghost Helmet
The Fox Racing V3 RS Ghost Helmet is race spec, redefined for riders who demand the best in safety, weight and performance. With its Mips® Integra Split When a helmet is impacted at an angle, it can cause the head to rotate suddenly and violently. This is a common source of concussions and brain injury. The Mips® Integra Split system is designed to provide movement inside the helmet to help reduce rotational motion to the head in certain angled impacts, thereby lowering the risk of such injuries. The Mips® Integra Split system is integrated into the energy-absorbing liner. By splitting the liner into three separate parts and adding a low-friction surface between the movable layers, the system can move, with the intention to help reduce rotational motion. The design of the Mips® Integra Split provides seamless integration, a comfortable fit, and allows for incorporated ventilation in helmets with ample EPS coverage. impact protection system and a lightweight carbon fiber shell, this helmet is designed to reduce rotational forces in a crash while keeping you cool with its innovative induction vents.

Mips® safety system
How does the Mips® safety system work? The brain is typically more sensitive to rotational motion than linear motion because it has shear properties similar to water or gel. When different parts of the brain move relative to each other because of rotational motion, the tissues can stretch, which can cause concussions or other brain injuries. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions and more severe brain injury in oblique hits to the head. The Mips® safety system consists of a low friction layer mounted inside the helmet. In a crash, the low friction layer is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head. This is intended to help reduce the risk of brain injury. Integra Split impact protection system combines two layers of EPS and is designed to reduce rotational forces in a crash
- Carbon fiber shell provides increased impact resistance while reducing weight
- Induction vents on the top of the helmet strategically placed to pull air in and aid in cooling
- 3 position breakaway visor with custom anodized hardware
- MDEPS EPS liner
Expanded polystyrene (EPS) is a rigid, energy absorbing foam. In the helmet industry, EPS is the most common means of energy management to protect the brain. Generic EPS is often referred to as “Styrofoam” (a trademarked name owned by the Dow Chemical Company). Premium helmet producers utilize multi-density EPS liners to balance comfort, safety and performance. is meant to provide protection by spreading the forces of impact across a wider surface area
- Helmet Eject compatible
- Emergency release cheek pad system
- Ionic+ moisture-wicking liner and cheek pads with crushed jade Stone Cold material for added cooling benefits
- Speaker recess compartments are compatible with most helmet communication systems
- Hydration routing system allows you to hydrate while on the move
