Pando Moto Kusari Cor 01 Women's Jeans
Not all jeans will leave you sweaty during those summer months, even fewer jeans feature abrasion resistance and armor while not standing out as ridding jeans. The Pando Moto Kusari Cor 01 Women's Jeans are full of features that will keep you confidently protected without sacrificing style or comfort thanks to its single layer construction.
Features:
- Skinny fit (leggings). High waist
- 11oz power-stretch CORDURA denim combined with Coolmax technology
- SAS-TEC The intelligent protection armour is constructed from smart molecules: in case of an impact the armour will rapidly freeze and harden, absorbing the shock and distributing it over a large area to reduce the risk of fractures. The soft exterior of the armour offers a great deal of comfort and mobility. TripleFlex CE Level 1 (EN1621-1:2012) approved knee armor
- SAS-TEC TripleFlex CE Level 1 (EN1621-1:2012) approved hip armor can be added (sold separately)
- Two-position knee armor pockets
- Reinforced with the chain stitches
- Discrete embroidery on the front
- CE approved to pr-EN17092 as a Class A garment
A CE Level A rating, governed by the EN 17092-4:2020 standard, signifies that a garment is designed to offer a baseline level of protection for urban or casual riding at lower speeds. To achieve this classification, the materials in the most vulnerable areas of the garment, known as Zone 1 (typically shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees), undergo rigorous testing.
The key test for abrasion resistance is performed on a specialized machine called the Darmstadt tester. In this test, a sample of the garment's material is subjected to a simulated slide on a concrete surface. For a garment to earn the A rating, the material in Zone 1 must withstand a rotational speed of approximately 265.4 revolutions per minute (rpm) on the Darmstadt machine. This is designed to replicate a slide at a road speed of approximately 28 mph (45 km/h). The material passes the test if it does not develop a hole larger than 5mm in any direction after the abrasion. It is important to note that this abrasion test is just one component of the comprehensive testing required for certification. To earn the final rating, the garment must also pass rigorous standards for tear resistance, seam strength, the impact protection performance of the included armor, and additional factors.
