Engineered for cold weather athletes, the insulated Override Alloy Mid-Layer Jacket is an over-achieving mid layer with exceptional breathability. This "Alloy" version of Klim's Override Jacket swaps some of the insulation at the underarms and back panel for fleece - further reducing the insulation factor. Generous amounts of breathability continue to strike a winning balance of warmth and body heat regulation to help avoid the sweaty, stuffy feeling of lesser performance gear. At the torso, shoulders and arms, 60 gram Thinsulate Thinsulate® is a synthetic fiber used for thermal insulation in clothing. Thinsulate® fibers are about 15 micrometers in diameter, which is thinner than the polyester fibers normally used in insulation for clothing such as gloves or winter jackets. Thinsulate® insulation is soft and compressible. is packed into the same, tough weather-resistant DWR nylon shell - just as it is on the standard Override Jacket.
