Materials selection for the jacket was influenced by elements of MX, in addition to the sport fit, and graphics. The jacket also incorporates performance features from road riding such as the external DFS Lite shoulders, as well as a waterproof membrane for additional all-weather riding protection. The Honda SMX WP Jacket is constructed with 600D poly-fabric and 3-Layer stretch softshell, providing he optimal blend of durability, comfort, light weight, and freedom of movement.

The SMX WP Jacket features subtly incorporated class-leading Nucleon Flex Plus armor for proven impact protection. Equipped with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment on its fixed waterproof membrane for proven wet weather performance, the Honda SMX Jacket has a detachable thermal liner, allowing it to be adapted to the weather conditions for real-world versatility. The Honda SMX WP Softshell Jacket has strategically positioned stretch panel inserts designed to accommodate Alpinestars’ Tech-Air Airbag System, providing expansion when the airbag inflates but also offering a high level of anatomical performance and a superior fit when riding without the system fitted.
