Shark Race-R Pro Cam Petersen Helmet
The Race-R Pro GP 06 represents a fusion of Shark's advanced aerodynamic tech and TLD's bold style, featuring a wind tunnel-developed spoiler for superior stability. Its competition-grade high-resistance screen ensures optimal visibility, while the bi-density EPU chin guard with removable anti-pollution filter enhances comfort and protection. Motorcycle enthusiasts, including Cameron Peterson, favor its Quick Spoiler Safety System and high-tech textile treatments. Additionally, a Racing package, akin to those enjoyed by MotoGP drivers, includes an official transport bag and a Dark smoke anti-scratch and anti-fog treated screen for added convenience and performance.
Features:
- COVA (carbon on View and Aramid) shell
- 2 shell sizes
- Wind tunnel developed aerodynamic spoiler
- Premium finishes
- Quick spoiler safety system in the event of a crash
- Second-skin interior
- 3D morpho cheek pads and high-tech textile treatments
- Multi-density EPS liner
Expanded polystyrene (EPS) is a rigid, energy absorbing foam. In the helmet industry, EPS is the most common means of energy management to protect the brain. Generic EPS is often referred to as “Styrofoam” (a trademarked name owned by the Dow Chemical Company). Premium helmet producers utilize multi-density EPS liners to balance comfort, safety and performance.
- Highly resistant optical class 1 anti-scratch/anti-fog face shield
- Bi-density EPU chin guard with removable anti-pollution filter
- DOT and ECE 22.06
ECE 22.06 is a helmet safety rating that extends and increases the testing requirements of ECE 22.05 (with 22.05 being a more modern, more comprehensive European alternative to DOT). With 22.06, 12 additional impact points are analyzed (now totaling 18) and impact speed is increased (from 7.5 to 8.2 m/s). Unlike DOT, every ECE helmet model must actually be tested by an independent lab before it receives 22.06 certification.
