The Dainese Sportiva Perforated Leather Jacket is made with soft and strong Tutu cowhide for excellent abrasion resistance and optimal ventilation. The internal Pro-Armor protectors are certified and offer maximum flexibility and freedom of movement. To enhance safety, the shoulder protectors can be swapped with aluminum plates, allowing for an easier slide in case of a fall, and reducing the risk of asphalt rolling.

Not only does this jacket prioritize safety, but it also prioritizes comfort. The S1 bi-elastic fabric inserts on the hips and inner arms, along with the Microelastic technology on the back, ensure a snug fit and freedom of movement.

Convenience is also key with the Dainese Sportiva Jacket. It includes a rear pocket for a back protector, Hook and loop style attachments at the hips for adjustable fitting, and two side air vents that help regulate temperature for optimal coolness. To top it off, the jacket has a breathable lining.

• CE certified to EN 17092 as a Class AA garment A CE Level AA rating, governed by the EN 17092-3:2020 standard, signifies that a garment is engineered to offer a high level of abrasion resistant protection suitable for a wide range of riding conditions, including touring and daily commuting. To achieve this classification, the materials in the most vulnerable areas of the garment, known as Zone 1 (typically shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees), undergo rigorous testing.
  The key test for abrasion resistance is performed on a specialized machine called the Darmstadt tester. In this test, a sample of the garment's material is subjected to a simulated slide on a concrete surface. For a garment to earn the AA rating, the material in Zone 1 must withstand a rotational speed of approximately 412.6 revolutions per minute (rpm) on the Darmstadt machine. This is designed to replicate a slide at a road speed of approximately 43mph (70 km/h). The material passes the test if it does not develop a hole larger than 5mm in any direction after the abrasion. This exacting standard ensures that the garment offers substantial protection against road rash in the event of a fall at typical road speeds. It is important to note that this abrasion test is just one component of the comprehensive testing required for certification. To earn the final rating, the garment must also pass rigorous standards for tear resistance, seam strength, the impact protection performance of the included armor and additional factors.

• Microelastic inserts Extensive research in ergonomics has paid off with this new Dainese patent filed to further increase riding comfort while keeping safety levels high at the same time. Bonding an insert in elasticated fabric beneath a panel in leather permits localized micro-elasticated areas where the body requires freedom of movement most while also increasing the area's abrasion resistance as well. This is achieved by reducing the number of panels and the stitches that connect them, while also keeping greater thickness in the panel itself than in traditional elasticated inserts.
