Bell Youth Moto-9 Mips Slayco Helmet
The Bell Youth Moto-9 MIPS Helmet features a composite Tri-Matrix shell construction that is extremely lightweight and is paired with 10 vents to maximize air flow. With a Snell M2020 certification, the latest impact standards keep you protected. Safe, comfortable and race-ready, the Youth Moto-9 Helmet features Bell's revolutionary Mips® safety system How does the Mips® safety system work? The brain is typically more sensitive to rotational motion than linear motion because it has shear properties similar to water or gel. When different parts of the brain move relative to each other because of rotational motion, the tissues can stretch, which can cause concussions or other brain injuries. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions and more severe brain injury in oblique hits to the head. The Mips® safety system consists of a low friction layer mounted inside the helmet. In a crash, the low friction layer is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head. This is intended to help reduce the risk of brain injury. - an innovated rotational impact energy displacement system that specifically helps improve off-road helmet crash performance.

Eject System
A helmet eject system allows for the inflation of an air bladder either pre-installed in a helmet or inserted by an EMS professional at the scene of a crash. Inflating the bladder lifts the helmet off of the rider's head with reduced neck movement - thereby reducing the likelihood of further injury from helmet removal. ready

ECE 22.05
The ECE 22.05 (Economic Commission for Europe) standard is quite a bit younger than the current DOT standard, and in many ways offers a more comprehensive battery of testing than its American cousin. ECE standards test for safety features that can contribute to avoiding an accident altogether, such as the optical quality of approved face shields and safety factors not directly related to impact, such as shell rigidity. Unlike the DOT, every ECE 22.05 certified helmet model must actually be tested against the standard by an independent lab before it is available for sale with an ECE sticker. and DOT certified
