PB e-cLc Outer Shell:

• The PB e-cLc outer shell design outlines a stylish, organic shape and uses a Peripherally Belted e-Complex Laminate Construction for lightweight strength. The shell is designed to glance off and spread impact forces. New, proprietary materials replace the former AR-mat middle layer, resulting in a substantial weight reduction while maintaining the same strength as the PB-cLc construction.

Ventilation:

• Comprehensive and controllable ventilation is based around 13 ventilation ports: 7 intake, 6 exhaust. The 3D Arai logo feeds cooling air into two central intake points and works well at low speed, alongside dual F1-derived tear duct top intakes, twin brow vents and 2-position sliding air-scoop filtered chin vent. Hot air is efficiently extracted via the 3-way one-piece rear exhaust/spoiler, twin flush-fit side exhausts (with foam dams to reduce noise) and neck exhaust.

Arai's Proprietary Liner:

• The fully removable interior liner system is made from odor resistant material, which helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin, as well as a softer liner material and adjustable temple padding to allow for a customized fit. All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning and never dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Interior parts in different size thickness are available for a custom fit for every rider.

VAS Shield System:

• Normally the shield mounting position must remain relatively high, because a lower shield pivot will not allow the shield to open or close. The VAS (Variable Axis System) has a variable axis (moving pivot point), allowing the shield to open and close even with the lower shield position.

• The VAS MAX Vision shield is standard to provide better visibility in all seasons and for all types of riding and comes standard with a clear anti-fog Pinlock A Pinlock lens is made to enjoy a fog-free ride. It is based on two key principles to ensure a fog-free vision. The moisture absorbing surface of the lens effectively attracts and stores water molecules, while the airtight seal creates a thermal barrier together preventing condensation of the visor. The system is kept in place by positioning the lens between two adjustable pins, making Pinlock the number one anti-fog solution for helmets. insert.

VAS Shield Latch System:

SNELL M2020 certification uses the most aggressive anvil profile, known as an edge anvil, and demands a ridiculously low 275 g maximum energy transfer after two blows. SNELL testing is designed with the energy levels and safety requirements of the racetrack in mind, and this is reflected in the additional testing for characteristics such as stability and ease of removal in an emergency. The Contour-X Helmet is its own special balance of race-bred technology with a street-ready focus. Ventilation, weight-savings and comfort are packed into a helmet that is aimed for riders who never let the odometer rest. For easy access on and off, the Contour-X features a 5mm flare around the base and the wide VAS MAX Vision shield includes a Pinlock insert. The premium brushed nylon interior is removable and features Arai's Facial Contour System (FCS) and neck roll wire pocket for easier Bluetooth installation.
