Description

Continental Twinduro TKC80 Dual Sport Tires

Due to incredible rider demand Continental Tire brought back the iconic Twinduro TKC80 tires with the same world-class dependable performance and improved design and materials. To ensure the highest quality of this iconic tire, an entirely new manufacturing process was implemented, with brand-new compound mixing processes, molds, breaker material and machines. This improved overall building process has resulted in a wholly improved tire, with a more stable ride, improved wet grip and the dependable off-road performance that made the Continental TKC 80 an icon. The refined manufacturing process has also produced new gains in performance, with a 3.8 second faster lap time in wet conditions and more stability reported. While improving these aspects of the tire, the top tier performance of the unique block design remains the same, giving a biting edge for off-road riding while riding smoothly and quietly on the road.

Technology:

  • RainGrip stands for excellent wet grip optimization – made possible by a specially activated silica mixture. The result: the best possible grip, down to the microscopic level of the road surface, even under difficult conditions. The new silica compound on the front tire also improves wet grip in cold and slippery conditions without negatively affecting mileage.
  • MultiGrip technology for a homogeneous gradation of grip levels with a single compound. This means that no annoying transitions between different compounds are noticeable when moving from the central tread area to the shoulder.
  • TractionSkin eliminates the hassle of starting the new tire and - thanks to the micro-rough tread - offers grip from the first mile.
  • ZeroDegree 0° steel belt construction with alignment of the belt position on the carcass on the front and rear tires in the direction of travel guarantees excellent stability at high speeds and low kickback tendency
